I am desired by Mr Fowler to forward

herewith, for the information of the Secretary of State

for the Colonies, copy of a letter fro.. the Govern ent

of India, No.83 Internal, dated 1st May 1695, and

enclosures, from which it will be observed that the

Government of India have permitted the Nawab of Basoda

to travel out of India and to visit America and Australia.

2.

The Nawab proposes to embark from Calcut ba

America

and to sail to

via Hong Kong and Japan, and

to return to Bombay via Liverpool, Gibraltar, liorocco,

Algiers, Tunis, Tiflis, and the river Nile in Egypt.

3.

Separate arrangements will beade for his

travels to Australia.

I am to refer you to the accompanying copy

of a letter to the Foreign Office, dated 26th July

1890, for information respecting the treatment the

Nawab should receive at the hands of Her Majesty's
